Should We Trust the PM of a Country We Invade?

The Prime Minister of Iraq has essentially endorsed the long term plan for the country being set forth by Barack Obama, namely a troop withdrawal timetable of 16 months.


"U.S. presidential candidate Barack Obama talks about 16 months. That, we think, would be the right time frame for a withdrawal, with the possibility of slight changes."

What more proof do we need that Iraq no longer wants our military running around the country? Wasn't the goal after all to remove Saddam and the terrorists from the country, begin to repair the infrastructure that we blew to smithereens, and then allow the Iraqis to take control of their democracy? Oh wait, I forgot to mention that whole oil thing...

Anyway, I believe the time has come for us to start honoring the wishes of the Iraqis and respectfully remove ourselves...There's only one man who has the common sense to see this.
